RFeye Array 100 series overview

The Array 100 is a spectrum monitoring and direction-finding system for mobile or fixed deployment. It provides 100 MHz IBW and is available in two different receiver configurations, offering spectrum monitoring from 500 MHz to 8 or 18 GHz. This fully integrated multi-mission system has been optimized for size, weight, and power (SWaP) and can be mounted on a fixed or mobile application. The Array 100 is housed in a ruggedized radome and offers simultaneous DF, spectrum monitoring, and geolocation capability.

Array

Each Array contains an RFeye Node, which is closely connected to the spiral antennas for maximum sensitivity. Commutating at very high speed around the antennas, the Node makes near-simultaneous AoA measurements in multiple directions. Data between multiple Arrays or between Arrays and Nodes can be correlated and synchronized for accurate geolocation of target signals using combined PoA, AoA, and TDoA techniques.

techniques

This white paper describes the underlying principles of geolocation techniques (AoA, TDOA, FDOA, & PoA) and outlines their applications. Read the white paper

WP-Cover-AoA
Angle of arrival / direction finding techniques

This white paper outlines the various forms of AoA , including how they work, how they can be applied in practice, and how they can be combined with other geolocation techniques, such as time difference of arrival (TDoA).

WP-Passive-Geolocation
Passive geolocation with 3D TDoA

Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA) techniques determine the source location of RF signals by analyzing variations in their travel time. 3D TDoA calculates a signal’s altitude, latitude, and longitude.
